Manhattan: a water treatment reminiscent of a glacier and a 30-foot, three-dimensional mountain range depicting the Evian France logo. One year later
Tucker was hired to recreate the display in Beverly Hills.
He also thinks outside the box and creates experiences not always tied to shelter.
One such project involved client Remy Martin, for whom he developed and designed
a “mobile pop-up.” Twenty aluminum suitcases were each outfitted with a 19-inch
HD monitor and Playstation game console with two controllers, winning tickets, and
laminated rules and instructions. Representatives could carry these into social venues
where individuals were pitted against each other to win a Remy Martin prize by playing
Madden NFL or NBA Live games.
“Whatever the product may be, it is my job to display it in a way that maximizes
its visibility and in some cases its interactivity,” Tucker explained.
Ride the hype and enthusiasm surrounding various events and tradeshows, and plan
pop-up shops around them. People are open and more absorbent during these times.
You can gain maximum exposure either from volume traffic or targeted VIP attendees.
During last year’s Alexander Girard pop-up shop by Herman Miller, which was
designed in partnership with Standard Issue and took place alongside NYC Design
Week, Grawe explained that the company wanted to establish a schedule and
timeline that capitalized on that fact.
“We thought about how to activate that space in different ways with different
audiences—whether it was a press preview and cocktail reception or a dinner for a
select group of architects and interior designers,” he said.

Bennett and decided to integrate a
variety of colors and textures in terms
of materiality for the space.

focused on the minimalism and
sensuality of design which the Herman

to capture within the pop-up.
